Review of the Hare & HoundsDuring my recent stay at the Hare & Hounds, I found myself captivated by the hotel's beautiful architecture and serene location, nestled just outside of Tetbury. As an active traveler and adventure enthusiast from Toronto, I appreciate properties that offer both a comfortable stay and easy access to local attractions. The rooms were spacious, featuring a cozy sitting area and terrace with garden furniture, ideal for enjoying morning coffee. The restaurant provided a satisfying breakfast experience with ample options and a relaxed ambiance, overlooking lush gardens. I encountered issues with unexpected noise from a wedding party, which disrupted the tranquility I initially sought. Despite assurances from the hotel prior to my arrival, this was noticeable and detracted from my overall experience, especially given the £250 per night rate. I observed some inconsistencies with staff service, particularly at the bar. While the reception staff were friendly and accommodating, the bar service felt somewhat lacking in professionalism. In summary, while the Hare & Hounds offers a luxurious setting and convenient amenity options such as free parking and in-room facilities, guests should weigh the potential for disruptions against the relatively high price. A thoughtful choice for those prioritizing aesthetics alongside their budget.
